Mirror, $400-$1,200, 6"x16"x24", 2009This piece is made from a found drawer, my own hair, silver gilding, glitter, and CCFT lamps. The decorative elements of the hair curling on the edges combined with the bright light seduces the viewer, bringing them in long enough to realize the materials used. My goal is to leave the viewer suspended between attraction and repulsion. |
