MY FRIEND NEEDLETEETH

There has been a debate among my friends: Is Needleteeth about to rip your leg off or is he instead beside himself with excitement for the possibility that you might throw a bone (or leg) for him to fetch? Being one to too frequently see the best in folks, I of course see Needleteeth as a friendly but deadly companion - someone who would curl up on the end of your bed at night and bring you the gift of a still twitching rat first thing in the morning.

Anyway, here's a snapshot of the painting in progress as well as a picture of the drawing I will be using for the next painting of him. Both paintings will be about four feet square.

To understand a little more about Needleteeth, take a listen to Scullcrusher Mountain by Jonathan Coulton: http://www.jonathancoulton.com/store/downloads/

THE SLEEPERS

The Sleepers is a new series about the duplicity of helplessness and giving up - sometimes being helpless/giving up is frightening, sometimes it's very powerful and freeing.

Needleteeth:Thanks for the gift pen on bond paper, 8.5"x11"
